The world is always making something out of nothing. A flower through concrete. Light through leaves. I have spent my whole life paying attention to these small insistences, the ones that don't ask to be seen, but deserve to be. I understand that compulsion. To persist. To make something beautiful regardless of circumstance.

Cortney J. Bolek is a designer, photographer, and writer based in Georgia.

Her eye for image came before any formal training did. Drawing equally from photography, editorial design, and brand strategy, she spent over a decade as Creative Director of MODEL Magazine, directing every element of a print and digital publication from concept through distribution, building a remote creative team, and maintaining a visual language that held across thirteen years of issues.

That same instinct for cohesion has carried through her work ever since, from shaping the visual identity of design-focused organisations to leading the full communications strategy of an international nonprofit operating across two continents. She works at the intersection of image and language, and feels most like herself when strategy and story are pointing in the same direction.
